From the Town Hall to Via Palio dell'Oca

Beneath the arcades of Piazza del Comune, just a short walk from Cremona Cathedral, an ancient coat of arms depicting a goose is still preserved. It recalls the historic Palio dell'Oca, a traditional event that animated the city centuries ago.

The same tradition lives on today in the name of Via Palio dell'Oca and in the historic emblem of Osteria Palio dell'Oca, inspired by this ancient symbol of Cremona.
